Finding a Treatment Program
The most effective way to be treated for alcoholism or addiction is through a residential program. An inpatient setting is, by far, the best way for you or your loved one to begin recovery from alcohol or drug abuse and find the peace and serenity that comes with a new life. These programs typically run from 30 days to 90 days and will occur in a comfortable setting designed to provide a safe and serene place in which to begin working toward recovery from addiction.
Finding the right treatment program may seem like an impossible task. There are thousands of treatment centers in the United States. Which are the best? Which will provide care suited to the individual? Which will accept your insurance plan, or be within your financial means? Recovery Hub is here to help.
Payment/Insurance: This is an issue that most people are concerned about right away. All of the treatment centers we work with have two options: private pay (around $6,000 to $50,000 per month) or Insurance (we have centers that accommodate both in-network and out-of-network benefits). Please call us and we will help you arrange private payment options (most are on a sliding scale) or perform insurance benefits checks for you.
What to Look for in a Treatment Program: Most all treatment centers, weather 12-step, non-12-step, or faith-based share the same goal–to help addicts and alcoholics begin recovery from their illnesses and introduce them to a life of sobriety. But here are so many aspects of treatment that one must consider when choosing a rehabilitation facility for oneself or a loved one. Programs should include individual and group therapy; a comfortable setting; counselors on-hand at all times; optional family programs; and an introduction to a healthy lifestyle including exercise, nutrition and activities. And, importantly, the treatment program must be tailored to the individual. This may include considering which drug(s) the person has been using, whether a medical detoxification is needed, whether the user has other psychiatric issues (dual diagnosis), family and social history, personality, ways of learning and communicating, and other desires including certain activities that will aid the addict in recovery.
Types of Programs: For every individual, there are programs that are much more suitable than others. Most all residential treatment programs run 30 days to 90 days or more; individuals may need varying lengths of treatment. Rehabilitation centers may be 12-step, non 12-step or faith-based. They may have a small or large number of clients; they may be mixed-gender or gender-specific; adult or adolescent; geared toward dual diagnosis or for a specific issue such as eating disorders.
